Abstract:

This layer shows lands owned by the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service (FWS) or associated with their management units. The data were digitized by the Montana Natural Heritage Program from 1:100,000 scale maps and 1:24,000 USGS quads in September, 1991. It includes all wildlife refuges, wilderness areas waterfowl production areas, but no coordination areas. The data were updated in March, 1995.

The data were removed from the State Library's web site when statewide FWS land data became available from the Montana Natural Heritage Program's stewardship database.
